Choosing a battery energy storage supplier for a commercial and industrial project is a long-term decision: the system will cycle every day for many years, interact with the site’s grid connection and solar array, and support the business’s energy cost and sustainability goals. The strongest choice is a supplier that combines its own manufacturing, proven battery technology, in-house control software, documented project experience and dependable service. These are the five capabilities MPMC brings to every HBD project.
Capability 1: In-House Manufacturing
MPMC Energy Tech in Yangzhong, Jiangsu, opened in January 2025 with USD 27 million of investment, a 19,000 m² workshop and a 3,300 m² R&D centre. It runs a semi-automatic and a fully automatic battery pack assembly line together with fully automatic BESS and hybrid assembly lines, giving C&I customers consistent quality and capacity for projects from a single cabinet to multi-megawatt-hour plants. MPMC itself was founded in 2008 and was the first Chinese diesel generator set manufacturer listed on the NEEQ (stock code 832266).
Its sister factory, MPMC Powertech Jiangsu in Haimen, adds a 22,000 m² smart factory with a CNAS-accredited testing centre and smart factory systems covering CRM, ERP, PLM, MES and OA, supporting the same disciplined production for MPMC’s generator set range.
MPMC HBD-A Series HBD-500-1000 containerised battery energy storage system, delivering 500 kW from 1,045 kWh.
Capability 2: Proven Battery Technology
HBD-A systems use LFP 314Ah cells rated for 8,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge, liquid cooling on every model, IP67 battery packs within an IP54 system, CE-certified aerosol fire protection and C4 anti-corrosion coating. The series covers 125 kW to 1,125 kW and 261 kWh to 2,170 kWh per unit, with DC-coupled HBD-DC 410 and HBD-DC 5000 models for solar-plus-storage plants.
Systems operate from -20°C to +55°C and up to 3,000 m altitude, and support on-grid and off-grid switching, external PV inverter and ATS integration and remote monitoring through the EMS, so the same platform suits factories, logistics centres, commercial buildings and hybrid industrial sites.

Capability 3: Self-Developed Control Software
MPMC’s own EMS and SCADA coordinate PV forecasting, battery scheduling and load response, and support PQ, VF, VSG, black start and grid-forming modes. The SCADA platform provides real-time remote monitoring and control, alarm management, maintenance work orders and automated monthly and annual reports, stores ten years of data, runs on an SL3-level cybersecurity framework and uses Starlink satellite communication as a backup link. Open protocols allow integration with a site’s existing energy management systems.
Capability 4: Documented Project Experience
Large-Scale Storage Across Europe and Beyond
MPMC’s BESS references span frequency regulation, peak shaving and hybrid industrial power, with several multi-megawatt-hour systems in Europe.
The 8 MWh system delivered to Europe illustrates the build quality: each HBD-1000-2000A unit uses a dual-PCS parallel architecture with 45 CATL LFP battery packs in a full-weld 20HQ container with C4 coating, ceramic-based aerogel insulation, IP55 protection and aerosol fire suppression in every pack.

Capability 5: Warranty and Service Support
HBD-A and HBD-E systems carry a 5-year product warranty or 2.2 MWh per kWh of throughput and a 10-year battery performance warranty or 4.3 MWh per kWh, with at least 70% capacity retention. MPMC provides remote technical support and diagnostics through its SCADA/EMS cloud platform, on-site commissioning by MPMC service engineers for complex deployments and APP/Web monitoring for daily operation. As one of the few Chinese manufacturers supplying generator sets, BESS and BCH mobile chargers from its own factories, MPMC can also deliver storage, backup generation and EV charging under one shared EMS.
